As the summer holidays start winding up, it’s time to start thinking about getting organized for the year ahead. Here are some of our favourite school snack ideas to get you thinking.

Blueberry Yoghurt Muffins

Check out this gorgeous, simple Donna Hay recipe for Blueberry Yoghurt Muffins. Make a big batch and eat them fresh. Or you can pop some in the fridge for the upcoming week, or even better in the freezer so that you have an easy go to snack to include in the kids lunch boxes. They’ll be defrosted just in time and will even help keep the rest of the lunch box a little cooler.

Fruit Three Ways

It’s all in the presentation! Pre-cut fruit is delicious and easy to have as a snack. You can chop seasonal fruit and pop it in a bento box, place it on skewers, or we even loved a healthy parfait as an after school snack. To make a fruit parfait, chop and layer the fruit with yoghurt, seeds and oats and place in a jar for a delightful snack the kids will love.

Kez's Kitchen Fruit Bars

Our Fruit Bars are crafted from all natural Fruit and Seeds. They are Gluten Free, Vegan and have No Added Sugar. Try either the Choc Crunch Protein or Choc Mud varieties for a wholesome lunchbox snack, they are a super easy option to have handy in your pantry to pop into a lunch box.

Pinwheels

Flat bread such as wraps are such a great easy way to get children eating healthy. You can use pita bread, tortillas or wraps, all of which you can buy in multigrain or wholemeal versions.

Simply place ingredients on the flat wrap, roll and cut into strips. Here are some great combinations for wraps to keep your snack game top of the pops.
