Since my review I have been contacted by Kez’s who assured me nothing has changed in their recipe and they don’t know why I experienced the issues with that one packet. I’ve now had the chance to try a new pack. They still seem different to previous in that they drier or harder in some way. I used to buy them for guests because they were special but I don’t feel they’re up to par for that now. There’s no explanation, no new recipe apparently, so it could come down to my personal tastes changing or a subjective response to new packaging. Suffice to say I would buy these for myself - and that is why I’ve given them 4 stars - but not necessarily for guests.

I have been buying these Vienna eclairs for a number of years. They have always been my go-to when looking for a quality biscuit I’m prepared to pay extra for.

Completely changed, new recipe which has reduced them to a bland, hard biscuit with tasteless ‘choc’ coating and a wedge of sweet hard jelly.

It’s really sad, because these were fabulous before. They used to be melt-in-the-mouth and worth the extra $ but now you might as well save your money and buy something cheaper because you’ll get much the same thing.
