Snacks to pep you up and go, go go!

It's time to get a pep in your step and what better way to do it than with 5 fabulously fresh and easy snacks that are packed with protein and will satisfy your cravings throughout your busy day.

CRUNCHY ROASTED PITA BREAD

Ingredients
Pita Bread
Sea salt/pepper to taste
Dried or fresh herbs mix (e.g. Moroccan mix with herbs like cumin, paprika)
Olive oil (spray or spout)

Method
Preheat oven to 180 C degrees
Coat pita bread lightly with olive oil
Sprinkle sea salt, pepper and herbs over bread
Place in oven for 10 minutes or until crunchy
Remove from oven, break up and place in sealed container

CHIA JAR

Ingredients
¼ cup chia seeds
1 cup of almond milk
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
Favourite fruit to taste- blueberries, strawberries, banana

Method
Place chia seeds and almond milk in jar and stir/shake vigorously.
Leave in the fridge overnight.
In the morning add your favourite fruit and off you go!

CHEDAR AND GRAPE STICKS

Ingredients
Grapes or Cubed pear
Good quality cheddar cheese

Method
So simple and delicious…Just pop a grape and a cube of good quality cheddar on a toothpick. The sweet grape and savoury cheese make for a delightful portable snack

QUICK DIP

Ingredients
Carrot, Celery, Capsicum cut into sticks
Hummus
Jar with lid

Method
Slice carrot, celery and capsicum sticks.
Add hummus to the bottom of the jar, stick carrots and celery into the dip so that the veggies are sticking upright in the jar poking out of the dip.
The best part about this recipe is that you can double dip!
